World of Outlaws Late Models visit Modoc Speedway for Modoc 100

NXTbets Pro | Published On: October 20, 2026

Modoc Speedway debut

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series heads to Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina, for the Modoc 100, and the stop stands out immediately because it marks the circuit’s first visit to the track. The weekend puts a fresh venue in the spotlight with the series down to its final five nights and the Modoc event serving as the penultimate stop. Modoc Speedway reopened in March after a $2 million renovation. The program opens with activities before the main racing begins and builds toward a 40-lap feature worth $12,000 to win and a 60-lap finale worth $25,000 to win. It also gives the Late Model tour a fresh test on a newly updated facility.

World Finals return

The Modoc race also serves as the last major bridge to the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, the next stop on the schedule. The Dirt Track has been a central venue for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series since it opened in 2000, and it has hosted the World Finals since 2007. Jonathan Davenport enters with eight Late Model victories at the facility. The World Finals also continue a run that has made the Carolinas a major part of the series’ identity. For the rest of the field, it is another shot to turn a strong run into a memorable finish.

Carolina contenders

The Modoc weekend carries extra meaning for several drivers and teams with regional ties or recent success in the area. Bobby Pierce leads the title race and arrives trying to find his first South Carolina win after a quieter stretch in the fall. His position at the top of the standings keeps every night relevant, and Modoc gives him another chance to protect that lead while chasing a breakthrough in the state. Nick Hoffman comes in on a strong run after winning the World 100 and taking two victories at I-55, and that kind of momentum can travel quickly when the series hits a new track. Ethan Dotson and ASD Motorsports also have a local angle, with the team set to race near home near North Augusta after a third-place finish there in July. Daulton Wilson brings another regional storyline, as he is expected to race near home while protecting his rookie lead. The field should also include Davenport, Chris Madden and Hudson O’Neal. The series’ Carolina footprint runs deeper than one weekend, too. Fayetteville Motor Speedway hosted eight World of Outlaws events from 2008 to 2018, and Lancaster Motor Speedway, 311 Motor Speedway, Friendship Motor Speedway and Carolina Speedway all fit into that regional presence. Brandon Overton has also handled one of those tracks well, winning four of nine World of Outlaws races at Cherokee Speedway since 2017. That mix of history, home-track comfort and late-season urgency sets up a strong finish to the tour’s Carolina swing.
