It must be hard being Jonas Vingegaard today, and we genuinely feel for the Dane. He gave it his all between Loudenvielle and Peyragudes and briefly led the time trial by 44 seconds over one Slovenian, Primož Roglič. But just as he received news of his leading effort, another Slovenian crossed the line. His name? Tadej Pogačar. His time? 36 seconds faster than the Visma-Lease a Bike rider. Find out what else transpired in our 2025 Tour de France Stage 13 report.
Obliterating his opponents on Hautacam yesterday wasn’t enough for Tadej Pogačar. He got back into the saddle this afternoon and rode out hard, overshadowing the work done by Vingegaard before him. Pogi reached Peyragudes in 23:00, 36 seconds faster than Jonas and 1:20 ahead of Roglic.
General Classification
The top three spots in the GC remain unchanged, but there are some shifts in the time gaps. Pogi’s stage triumph stretched his lead to 4:07 over Vingegaard, and Remco Evenepoel is now 7:24 off the pace.
King of the Mountains
It was good while it lasted for Lenny Martinez, but he’s fallen back into a tie for second in the polka dot jersey contest. Pogačar’s time trial victory added 10 points to his tally, and he now tops Martinez and Vingegaard in the KOM competition.
Youth Classification
The Belgian, Evenepoel, is in jeopardy of losing the white jersey and his virtual podium spot in the GC after a tough TT. German Florian Lipowitz is breathing down his neck after another impressive day, stopping the clock with the fourth fastest time on the stage. He’s now only 6 seconds adrift of the white jersey holder, and will back himself to top the Youth Classification when the Tour reaches Superbagnères on Saturday.
Points Classification
Jonathan Milan stays at the head of the Points Classification table, but the Italian has a Slovenian charging towards him. Milan is stuck on 231 points, and Pogi has entered the 200 club, only 28 points shy of the leader.
