Round two of the 2026 NHRA Championship hits the straights of Firebird Motorsports Park for the annual Arizona Nationals. None of the category winners from opening weekend are pre-event favorites, with markets sticking with the tried-and-tested. Shawn Langdon holds the shortest price in the Top Fuel class, with Matt Hagan leading the Funny Car brigade. Over in the Pro Stock division, Greg Anderson leads, and the motorcycles sit this one out.
In addition to traditional sports betting on the NHRA, we have Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and Real Money Gaming available in a Pick’Em style on Underdog. Best Bets and Odds for NHRA Arizona Nationals
Top Fuel
Event Winner Odds
Shawn Langdon starts his second consecutive event as the Top Fuel favorite, despite an E1 exit in the previous round. Despite the slow start to 2026, he returns to Arizona to defend the title he bagged 12 months ago, one of three victories in the previous campaign. Josh Hart made his intentions clear for the term when he entered Victory Lane in Gainesville on the opening weekend. Punters have taken note, and he starts this round as the second favorite.
Doug Kalitta picked up from where he left off last season, claiming a runner-up return in Florida. He also ended second on his last visit to the Firebird Motorsports Park. Antron Brown finds himself down the odds sheet after failing to retain his Gatornationals title two weeks ago. Despite the disappointment, he still progressed to E3 before falling to the eventual winner Hart. Four-time victor in 2025, Justin Ashley sits at +754 in the pre-event odds, but his time in Florida was short-lived, exiting in E1.

Defending Arizona Nationals champ Shawn Langdon piques our interest for the expert pick this weekend. He struggled on the opening weekend, but we’ve witnessed his class in the past, after appearing in six finals last year. He closed out 2025 with a 50% win rate in the finals, where he featured. Langdon arrives at +544, potentially paying out $128.80 on a $20.00 wager.

Funny Car
Event Winner Odds
Longshot, Chad Green, trumped the Funny Car division in Florida to defend his title. However, if last season is anything to go by, this is as good as it gets for the Gatornationals Champion. His last trip to Arizona saw him knocked out in E1, a result he endured 10 times in 2025. Matt Hagan lines up as the favorite, but his visit to Florida ended with an E2 defeat at the hands of the eventual winner, Mr. Green. Hagan also found himself eliminated in E2 on his previous trip to Chandler.
Jordan Vandergriff impressed in week one, making it to E3, before Chad Green showed him the exit. Defending Arizona Nationals Funny Car champ, Paul Lee, starts with long odds of +1159. After his triumph at this venue a year ago, he has exited in E2 or worse in 88% of the events. Reigning Funny Car title holder, Austin Prock, enters as the third favorite, but he was far off his best in the opener, losing out in Q4. But one can’t write Prock off, as he did clinch nine checkered flags in the last campaign.

After the Chad Green upset in round one, it’s tough to pinpoint a winner in the Funny Car class. Therefore, we’re sticking with an old favorite in Austin Prock. Yes, he stuttered in round one, but he knows how to win, and he’s priced at +718. Wagering $20.00 could payout $163.60.

Pro Stock
Event Winner Odds
It looks like the Pro Stock class is done tolerating the Anderson-Glenn domination, which we witnessed in 2025. Greg Anderson did make it to the final round but fell to a speedy Hartford, while Glenn exited the event in E3. Anderson clinched the Arizona Nationals title on his previous visit, giving him the first of six victories last term.
Dallas Glenn found himself defeated by Hartford in E3, down in Florida, but he’s on a mission for redemption at Firebird Motorsports Park. Glenn fell to his perennial rival Anderson in the final at this venue in his last appearance. Matt Hartford tops the Pro Stock ranks after round one and continued the momentum he gained late in 2025. He’s now featured in four of the last seven finals, with one victory in the trunk.
