The yellow jersey changes hands after three consecutive days, covering the chest of Mathieu van der Poel. Pre-race favorite Tadej Pogačar soared into the driver’s seat after a powerful time trial that saw him finish second behind Evenepoel. Pogi now holds a 42-second buffer over the stage five winner, who catapulted himself into second on the tour. Jonas Vingegaard is down in fourth, 01′ 13” off the pace.
Points Classification (Green Jersey)
Pogačar’s runner-up in the time trial elevated the three-time Champion into pole in the points classification. He now leads the contest by five points from Jonathan Milan and 10 points from Biniam Girmay.
Youth Classification
Remco Evenepoel walks away from Wednesday’s time trial with the stage win and the white jersey for his efforts. He knocks Kévin Vauquelin off the top spot and now leads the Frenchman by 17 seconds
Team Classification
