Hunter Lawrence won the 450 championship at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and he closed the Pro Motocross season with his first premier-class title and the Edison Dye Cup. The result also marked a milestone for the Lawrence family. Hunter and Jett Lawrence became the first siblings to win premier-class championships. Davies’ season ended with more than a championship trophy. He finished his first full outdoor campaign as the 250 champion. The result also gave the 250 class a new champion from New Zealand. Julien Beaumer won the 250 overall at Ironman, but Davies owned the bigger prize.
Lachlan Turner
Lachlan Turner won her third consecutive WMX championship at Ironman Raceway, and she did it after working through a rough opening lap in the final moto. An early crash dropped Turner to 17th in the race, but she fought back to fourth and locked up the title. The comeback sealed the championship and gave her another strong finish in the class.
Turner beat Charli Cannon by six points in the final standings. The margin was tight enough to keep the title race alive until the final moto, but Turner’s recovery ride settled it. She had to rebuild after the crash and do enough over the rest of the race to protect her position at the top of the table. The fourth-place finish was enough, and it came with a third straight WMX crown.
The title added another clean line to Turner’s record. Three straight championships show control over the class across multiple seasons, and this one came with an extra layer of difficulty. An early crash could have changed the outcome, but Turner steadied the race and finished the job. The WMX crown completed a finale that produced champions in all three featured classes at the season finale.
