P.J. Jacobsen (+137):

P.J. Jacobsen finds himself in familiar territory in the Supersport Championship, once again sitting second behind Scholtz. However, Jacobsen returned to Victory Lane on seven occasions last year, twice at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. P.J. rode two clean races on the first weekend of action this year, collecting runner-ups in both starts, and leaving him one point off Scholtz in the standings.

Mathew Scholtz (+202):

The 2024 Supersport Champion, Mathew Scholtz, started the year hot by winning the season-opening race at Barber. He backed it up with a third-place return on the second day and arrived in Georgia as the series leader. The South African proved consistent at this track on his last visit, crossing the line in third and fourth in his two starts.

Tyler Scott (+716):

The fifth-best Supersport rider in 2024, Tyler Scott, picked up a top 10 and a top 5 finish on the opening weekend of the season. Scott finished one place off the podium in the first race, before dropping to ninth on day two. Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta was tough on Scott when he last visited, forcing a DNF in the first race and a sixth-place return in race two.

Blake Davis (+1005)

Blake Davis starts with favorable odds at Road Atlanta for a rider who was solid at Barber, claiming two top fives, including a podium. He endured mixed fortunes at this track last year, crossing the line in second in the first race, before recording a DNF on the second day of racing. Davis starts the weekend in fourth on the Championship table.

Corey Alexander (+1912):
The season-opening weekend delivered a mixed bag of results for Corey Alexander, finishing sixth in the first race and failing to cross the line on the second day. Corey starts the weekend as the 10th-best rider in the series, but he knows how to finish on the podium, collecting five of them in the previous campaign.

Cameron Petersen (+2231):

South African Cameron Petersen held on for seventh place in the first race at Barber, but didn’t make the starting line on the second day. He starts the weekend in eleventh place on the table, but he is better than his current position suggests. Petersen accumulated eight podiums in the Superbike competition in 2024, including three wins.

Expert Pick for Supersport

Mathew Scholtz offers great value this weekend for a rider who leads the Championship. The defending series Champion already has a win to his name after two races and earned a podium at this circuit last year. Scholtz carries pre-event odds of +202, offering a potential payout of $60.40 on a $20 wager.

Cameron Beaubier (-101):

Superbike series leader, Cameron Beaubier, returns to the track where he won and finished runner-up in his two appearances. After losing the Championship to Josh Herrin in 2024, Beaubier responded in the best possible manner, winning the season opener and finishing second in race two. The solid start, now gives Cameron a four point buffer over Jake Gagne.

Jake Gagne (+375):

Jake Gagne walked away from Alabama with two podiums, including a win in the second race, kicking off his campaign in a similar fashion to last year. Gagne enjoyed a successful trip to Michelin Raceway Road last time, winning once and finishing second behind his rival Beaubier.

Josh Herrin (+518):

Two top fives, including a podium gave the Defending Series Champion, Josh Herrin, a smooth start to the season. He lines up on the grid in Braselton as the fourth-best rider after round one, and is hoping for a better trip to Georgia than he experienced last time, failing to make the podium in both starts. His best result in 2024 was fifth in the first race.

Bobby Fong (+1026):

The season started positively for Bobby Fong, who crossed the line in second place in the opening race of the season. He backed it up with a fifth-place return in the second race to position himself in third in the standings. The last trip Fong made to Road Atlanta yielded two podiums, as he finished runner-up and third, respectively.

Sean Dylan Kelly (+1055):
Consistency was no problem for Sean Dylan Kelly at Barber as he maneuvered his way into fourth place in both races. Fourth is the same position he ended the 2024 Championship. Kelly delivered impressive results when he last traveled to this circuit, finishing inside the top five in both races.

Richie Escalante (+5782):
Richie Escalante
endured a disastrous season-opening race that saw him crash out and end the day pointless. The 2020 Supersport Champion bounced back to claim sixth spot in the second race and complete the weekend with 10 points towards his Championship total. Escalante started the first race at Road Atlanta last year and crossed the line in eighth place.

Expert Pick for Superbikes

Cameron Beaubier is looking solid so far as he sets his sights on the Championship. With two podiums, including a win to his name already, he is our expert pick for the Superbike class in Atlanta. The favorite starts at -101 with a prospective payout of $39.80 on a $20 wager.

Troy Herfoss (+128):

The 2024 King of the Baggers Champion, Troy Herfoss, started the season in unfamiliar territory, as he rode across the finish line in last place in the season opener. True to his quality, Herfoss quickly brushed off the result and rebounded the next day to finish runner-up behind Wyman in the second race. Troy arrives in Georgia in second in the standings, but it won’t faze him as he focuses on his title defence.

Kyle Wyman (+177):

Defending Kyle Wyman opened his account in style, taking the checkered flag in both races in Alabama. His actions pushed him into a 22-point lead over the Defending Series Champion, Troy Herfoss. Wyman produced the goods when he last raced around this track, finishing on the podium in his two starts, including a trip down Victory Lane on day two of proceedings.

Hayden Gillim (+887)

Hayden Gillim’s mission to go one better in the Championship this year didn’t go according to plan in the first race, as he crashed out. Gillim held his nerve to bounce back on day two at the Daytona 200 to finish in sixth, leaving him in 10th spot out of 13 riders in the series. The Revzilla Motul rider didn’t start the first race at Road Atlanta last year, but he made an appearance on day two to claim fifth.

Tyler O’Hara (+2859)

The fifth-best KOTB rider in 2024, Tyler O’Hara, produced a respectable opening weekend in Daytona, claiming consecutive top 10s. O’Hara started the season with a sixth-place finish before powering home in fourth on day two, to elevate him to fourth in the Championship standings. The Indian Motorcycle S&S competitor was a consistent performer on his last visit to Georgia, finishing third in both starts.

Kyle Ohnsorg (+3659)

After missing out on KOTB racing at this venue last year, Kyle Ohnsorg is on the entry list and searching for his maiden podium of the term. Ohnsorg delivered a strong performance in the first race in Florida, ending the showdown in fourth. He backed it up with a seventh-place return in the second race, to put himself into fifth place in the standings.

Bradley Smith (+5335)

British veteran Bradley Smith started his King of the Baggers series hot, placing second in the first race at Daytona 200. Day two didn’t go according to plan for Smith as he settled for last place, which still earned him six points. Bradley crashed in the second race, but still pushed on to earn some points and leave him in third in the standings.

Expert Pick for Baggers

After consecutive wins in the opening two races at the Daytona 200, it’s surprising to see Kyle Wyman enter as the second favorite to Troy Herfoss. However, the series leader gets our stamp of approval for Road Atlanta, carrying odds of +177, and offering a potential payout of $55.40 on a $20 bet.
