After enjoying a day of rest on Tuesday, the world’s best road cyclists were back at it, this time in the vicinity of Toulouse. Jonas Abrahamsen handed Uno-X Mobility their first win of the race, while pre-event favorite Tadej Pogačar crashed with just under 4km to go. Learn all about it and more in our 2025 Tour de France Stage 11 report below
Norwegian Jonas Abrahamsen combated the peloton on stage 11 and prevailed, just ahead of Mauro Schmid. The duo fended off a comeback from Mathieu van der Poel, who crossed the line seven seconds behind in third. Reigning US National Road Racing Champion, Quinn Simmons, collected his maiden top 10 stage finish of the campaign.
General Classification
The stage result had no bearing on the GC, with Ben Healy still at the top, 29 seconds ahead of “Pogi”. Tadej Pogačar got back on his bike after slipping off and still managed to greet the stewards with the peloton, losing no additional time.
King of the Mountains
A few points were handed out in the KOM battle, but nothing of real significance. Lenny Martinez went pointless throughout the stage, but still leads the contest by 11 points from Healy. We can expect Martinez to up the ante from tomorrow when the riders tackle the second mountain stage of the tour.
Points Classification
Jonas Abrahamsen powered through the intermediate sprint checkpoint ahead of the field to earn 20 points. However, Jonathan Milan still sits at the top of the standings on 231 points, ahead of Pogi on 163. Mathieu van der Poel moved into third in the green jersey hunt, leapfrogging Biniam Girmay, who is now two points adrift.
Youth Classification
The youngsters are still chasing Healy in the Youth Classification, with a 01′ 29” lead over Remco Evenepoel. However, we’ll see Healy don the yellow jersey on Thursday, as the overall race leader.
Team Classification
Team Visma-Lease A Bike extended their Team Classification lead to 19′ 20” over UAE Team Emirates XRG. The Dutch outfit is looking comfortable in the race for the best collective effort.
