The 2.38-mile Barber Motorsports Park track revs to life this weekend as Superbike and Supersport riders take off in Alabama. MotoAmerica Barber pre-event odds favor Mathew Scholtz in the Supersport division, while Josh Herrin leads the charge in the Superbike battle. Herrin and Escalante have made the switch to Superbike racing after starting Daytona in the Supersport class.

Mathew Scholtz (+150):
South African Mathew Scholtz made this event his own in 2024 winning both races over the weekend. The Strack racing rider sat out the Daytona 200 and is fired up to defend his title in Birmingham after standing at the top spot of the podium on 8 occasions in his last campaign.
PJ Jacobsen (+255): PJ Jacobsen ended the 2024 season as the second-best Supersport rider on the circuit. He seems to be comfortable in the runner-up seat, finishing behind Scholtz in both Barber races last year. Jacobsen notched up seven wins in the previous calendar year.
Tyler Scott (+634):
Tyler Scott started the season with a podium finish at the Daytona 200, but his total time was over five seconds behind the winner Herrin. He looked comfortable at Barber last year, finishing fourth in the first race. Scott will fancy his chances here in the absence of Josh Herrin and Richie Escalante, but he’ll have to overcome defending Champion Scholtz.

Blake Davis (+1892):

Corey Alexander (+2287):

A DNF in the first race at Barber last year inspired Cameron Beaubier to fight back and win the following two races. The Californian continued to soar throughout the series, triumphing on six occasions and ending the season as the second-best superbike rider.
Jake Gagne (+441):
Five podiums, including a win were only enough to position Jake Gagne in seventh on the standings in the previous series. The San Diego local enjoyed his last visit to Birmingham, crossing the line inside the top 10 in every race. His best result came in the first race where he finished runner-up to Cameron Petersen.
Josh Herrin (+469):
After surging to victory in the Supersport class at the Daytona 200, Josh Herrin switches to a superbike in Alabama. The Ducati rider was inconsistent on his last trip to Barber Motorsports Park, finishing third, 21st, and fourth, respectively in the three races. Herrin is roaring to go as he begins his Championship title defense.

Richie Escalante (+5782):
Richie Escalante hops onto a superbike after finishing behind Josh Herrin in the Supersport class at Daytona in March. The 2020 Supersport Champion only started eight superbike races in 2024, claiming one podium and finishing 15th in the series, 12 points behind the next-placed Hayden Gillim.
